Postdoctoral Position in Organic Photovoltaics and Ultrafast Optical Spectroscopy, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
We are a young, dynamic group which is integrated in an excellent, collaborative and international scientific environment at the Nanyang Technological University, with interests in the study of energy and charge transfer mechanisms in semiconductors.
In this project, we seek to investigate the energy transfer processes in novel donor-acceptor dyad materials. To complement our team, we are looking for a highly motivated and qualified Postdoctoral fellow (Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering) with an interest and a strong background in organic photovoltaics and optical spectroscopy (i) to prepare organic films and fabricate organic photovoltaic devices and (ii) to characterize them using various optical spectroscopic techniques ranging from steady state techniques (e.g. absorption, photoluminescence etc) to ultrafast techniques (e.g. transient photoluminescence, transient absorption etc.) Strong motivation for research in a highly multidisciplinary environment is expected. The ability to work independently is essential. Funding is through a Competitive Research Programme (CRP) grant from the National Research Foundation (NRF), Singapore and it is initially available for 2 years.
Please send your application (cover letter with research interests, CV, brief statement of research skills and experience, publication list, contact details for two references) to Asst. Prof Sum Tze Chien at the Division of Physics and Applied Physics, Nanyang Technological University, 21 Nanyang Link, SPMS-PAP 03-05, Singapore 637371.
