The Course aims at the formation of Computer Engineers specialized in the design, implementation and management of modern information systems, with particular emphasis on the digital convergence of computer, electronic and telecommunication technologies, and on the development of Internet and Web-based services and applications. To this purpose, the Computer Engineering Graduate will integrate a solid technological and scientific background with new interdisciplinary competences in the management and communication aspects of ICT. The application fields of interest include e-business (in a broad sense), e-government, online industries, Web based-information systems, multimedia and computer graphics applications, cultural heritage applications, and more.
The Course requires full time attendance and involves classroom and laboratory activities
A Laurea (first level) Degree is required, for a total amount of 180 credits. Further 120 credits are to be accomplished according to the Didactic Regulations of the Laurea Specialistica (second level) Degree. More specifically, with respect to the total amount of 300 credits, at least 47.5 credits are required in basic disciplines (mathematics, physics, statistics); at least 100 credits in core subjects (50 credits in computer science, automation, electronics, telecommunications at the first level, 50 credits in computer science at the second level); at least 20 credits in other activities (laboratories, foreign languages, projects); at least 17.5 credits for stages and graduation thesis preparation.
