Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantt. is situated near the main Bus Stand and Railway Station of Ambala Cantt.. (Opposite Capital Theatre). Ambala Cantt. is 200 kilometers away from Delhi on Delhi-Chandigarh National Highway. For traveling by road, one take Bus from Inter-States Bus Terminus, Kashmere Gate, Delhi (Buses are available 24 hours). Ambala Cantt. is also connected with Rail. Advance reservation for traveling by Rail is required.

Theme

Main theme of the Festival is Literature & World Peace with special focus on spreading the message of VASUDHAIV KUTUMBAKAM (the whole world is one family), the India delivered thousands years ago and which is unparallel in the history of mankind all over the world.


Languages

English, Hindi, Punjabi

However the participating poets can read poetry in any language of the world but he/she must provide us an English translation of the same for circulation among delegates and for publishing in the Anthology / literary journal Kafla Intercontinental.

For sending Registration Form: 30 September 2008
For sending papers/poetry/other literary writings: 15 October 2008

 

Date wise activity

28 November 2008 : Receiving the Delegates + Press Conference at 5.00 P. M.
29 November 2008 : Opening at 11.00 AM (three sessions till evening)
30 November 2008 : Starting first session at 11.00 A.M.
(Presentation of papers, discussions, reading poetry, cultural presentations... music, dances by local artists)
1 December, 2008 (Goodbye Breakfast 9.00 A.M.)

 

Registration Fee

(Non refundable and to be sent in advance by 30 September 2008)

Rs. 500 (for participants from India)
US $ 50 for participants from abroad
(includes all meals from evening of 28th of November to morning of
1st December 2008)
