"Students' League of the "Constantin Brancusi University"

We are the "Students' League of the "Constantin Brancusi University", a student association whose purposes includes the development and affirmation of professional knowledge and research developments, as respect for the rule of law. Students' League was established in July 10th 2002 by young people experienced in NGOs and student activities.
Matter for the students of the University "Constantin Brancusi", but also for young people, to help fill their gaps, regardless of race, language or religion. We are a non-profit, apolitical and non-governmental association.

What we do:

- Protect the rights and interests of students;
- Non-formal education;
- Training sessions;
- Voluntary activities;
- Seminars on various topics of education;
- Trips;
- Measures to ensure social protection;
- Editing the student newspaper "Whisper";
- International Student Festival in Targu-Jiu.

SUMMARY

The project will be held from 01-08 August 2009 in Targu-Jiu, Romania (and also in other locations in Gorj County) and will consist of the International Student Festival. The main objective of this event is meeting the students of our university students with the other national and international university. For participating students will take place cultural, sporting and social activities.
The Festival's official language will be English. From the program will not miss the debates on various topics such as: global crisis, nuclear power, modern technology, the role of media in our lives. Also, social activities will touch topics such as: intercultural education, communication and cooperation from all students.
When we add all these young people's participation in other university centers in Romania and other countries, there by establishing links between students in Targu-Jiu and students from all over the country and from abroad.
We organize seminars that will consist of a training program in the field of management of youth activities and techniques of communication.
In these seminars will be presented some material about NGOs Gorj. Shares information about presentations will cover different ways of communication, youth activities of our organization, which are implemented in social and cultural life at local and national levels.
As results of discussions with our youth, we will identify the problems they face and we try to shape a project together with our participants, which corresponds to our needs.
