People mastered in Space Engineering have the skills needed to fully develop the activities related to the design, analysis and verification of space missions. In this field some specialist figures have been evidenced: mission analysis, thermo-structural design of space systems, design of propulsive and power subsystems, attitude and orbital control, communication and operation with ground stations, integration of space systems and after-launch operations.
This Course is organized for a full time attendance and involves classroom and laboratory activities. The attendance is strongly recommended but not mandatory. A final graduation work must be prepared (project, theoretical or experimental thesis).
The degree is awarded on the basis of 120 credits, as specified in the course regulations. The teaching activities are related to: courses mainly focused on the completion of the space scientific knowledge (mathematics methods, gasdynamics, systems and structures) 37,5 credits; 70 credits for specific courses; for other activities and final work 12,5 credits are allocated.
